On November 16, 2007, Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting announced that is has acquired TeamMate, the leading integrated audit productivity software suite serving corporate internal audit departments and government agencies in 96 countries.
2. What is TeamMate?
TeamMate provides audit management software to internal audit departments of large and multinational corporations. TeamMate is the market leader within the corporate audit management software market. The software offering manages the internal audit process for corporations' internal audit department and helps ensure processes are documented and in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
3. What does this mean to me?
The acquisition of TeamMate ensures that CCH continues to have your best interests in mind as we expand our award-winning portfolio of tax, accounting and audit products for the CPA, Corporate and Government markets. TeamMate will join CCH's portfolio of market-leading research and software solutions as a distinct product line.

Over 56,000 auditors from more than 1,500 organizations worldwide use TeamMate to increase the efficiency and productivity of the entire audit process, including risk assessment, scheduling, preparation, review, report generation and global issue tracking. Customers include Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 corporations; small and medium size enterprises; and federal, state, local, international and regulatory agencies.
6. What products are part of the TeamMate suite?
The TeamMate suite consists of five key products that can be used independently or with other components of the suite. Those products are: TeamMate EWP, electronic work paper system; TeamCentral, audit issues tracking data base; TeamRisk, risk assessment tool; TeamSchedule, advanced scheduling; and TeamMate TEC, time and expense tracking.
7. Why did WK / CCH acquire TeamMate from PricewaterhousCoopers?
CCH is already a leading provider of tax, audit and accounting solutions to professionals in CPA firms. We also already serve professionals in the corporate market and believe there is an opportunity for us to grow further in this adjacent market through acquisition; the development of new products specifically for this market; and by leveraging our current rich content and software solutions to deliver products to meet an expanded range of professionals' needs in the corporate audit market.

10. What's changing for CCH customers?
The CCH TeamMate suite of solutions and employee team will be retained as a separate business line within Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting, aligned with each of the CCH tax businesses based on geographic region.
As such, for our customers in accounting firms, nothing is changing. CCH will continue its commitment to serve them best by intently focusing on their needs, delivering best-of-breed integrated solutions to make them more productive and profitable. Our customers in the corporate market will benefit from CCH's commitment to more fully address their needs, as we grow our presence and offering of solutions in the corporate segment through this acquisition and other initiatives.
11. What are the immediate plans for the TeamMate product suite? Will CCH keep them separate, merge them with your own, or phase some of them out?
CCH plans to continue to offer a dedicated product line of TeamMate products, following the current product map PwC has in place. We also plan to build on that suite of solutions by leveraging our rich content and technology resources to also offer new products as part of a complete line of content workflow solutions.
There are no plans to eliminate or convert product offerings based on this acquisition. The opportunities ahead are to extend our product offerings to professionals, and enhance the products we currently offer.
