Senior Training Manager
Gerry Barker has been involved in the tax software and service industry since 1986, when he started as an Account Manager in Winnipeg. Since then, he has provided customer service, technical support, management, and training to accounting and tax firms across Canada.

Training and VIP Agent
René Carbonneau has been with CCH Canadian Limited for
16 years. In December 2004, he moved to the Customer Service and Support department, where his current position is T2
Specialist for Customer Service. Before this, he worked as a Tax team leader, where he helped with the development of Corporate
Taxprep. Prior to CCH Canadian, he was employed with the CRA for 5 years and also worked for another major accounting firm
for 5 years. A specialist in Corporate Tax, René looks forward to your questions.

Training Specialist
Pamela Dixon joined CCH in February 2001 as an Account Manager in BC's lower mainland. After 8 years in software sales, she was able to realize her true passion of software training. Pamela is a geek at heart and comes from a programming background, mainly in COBOL, SQL and Assembler, but she enjoys tinkering with C+ and HTML. Pamela hopes to use her many years of public speaking and communication training to make training sessions informative, fun, and interactive. Pamela will be providing both on-site and web-based seminars on how to use CCH Online, CCH folio 4.3., CCH Site Builder, CCH Profit Driver and FP Solutions Custom Documents. Pamela works part time and is based in Vancouver.

Product Manager, FP Solutions
Michael Howe is the Product Manager for the FP Solutions program in the Tax, Accounting and Financial Planning division of CCH Canadian Limited. Michael joined CCH Canadian in 2000, after CCH had purchased Portfolio Publishing and its financial planning software. In 1997, Michael graduated from the University of Calgary business school and continued his education by obtaining the Certified Financial Planner designation in 2003. In his current role Michael participates in the development and maintenance of CCH Canadian's financial planning software, FP Solutions, as well as being a full-time trainer for both online and Seminars & Conferences.

Tax Software Training Consultant
Jenny Lee obtained her CA designation with Price Waterhouse where she also completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and worked in the International Assignment Tax Services Group. Jenny has been with Taxprep since 1993, assisting clients with Taxprep products. Currently, Jenny conducts both in-person and web seminars in addition to providing consulting services to Taxprep clients.

Training Manager, Legal and Business Markets
Lina Stolf joined CCH in September 2001. Lina is a member of the CSTD (Canadian Society for Training and Development), and has over 19 years of professional training experience. At CCH, Lina has worked on the development of a new training program for our Legal and Business Markets division. She has also worked with the CCH Training Team to develop and launch a Professional Training and Development web site for CCH customers. Lina enjoys helping customers learn how to make the most effective use of their CCH products. Currently, Lina conducts both in-person and web seminars for our Legal and Human Resources customers.

QA Technician/Taxprep Training
Marc joined CCH in September 2006 as a System Quality Control Technician. With 15 years customer service at IBM in addition to his communication skills, Marc nicely complements our team of professional tax software trainers. Marc covers off the technical aspects of our software during the seminars and provides valuable additional information to our attendees. “I look forward to getting out to meet with our clients in a live situation!” Marc can be also heard on the radio at CFLX-FM in Sherbrooke, QC.

Tax Software Training Consultant
Maureen Vance obtained her CA with Peat Marwick Mitchell and has completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. She joined Taxprep in 1985 and has been training clients on Taxprep products for 20 years. Maureen conducts both in-person and web seminars as well as providing consulting services to Taxprep clients.

Karim Rashwan joined CCH Canadian in 2008 as a trainer for the FP Solutions program in the Tax, Accounting and Financial Planning division. Karim completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manitoba in 1999 and then went on to obtain his industry certifications and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation between 2001 and 2004 while working as a Financial Advisor at Investors Group and CIBC Imperial Service. His main role is to conduct both online and live session training, participate in financial planning trade shows, as well as assist in developing FP Solutions training material.
Tax Software Training Consultant
Helga has had a thriving tax preparation business for 10 years and prepares many T1 and T2 returns. From practical income tax preparation at the consumer level to senior tax specialist to managing tax support and developing tax documents for CANTAX. She also has helped develop and deliver tax courses. Helga has had a thriving tax preparation business for 10 years and prepares over 600 T1’s and 300 T2’s. She also handles T3 returns, forms and some US tax. Helga is well regarded amongst our clients as a knowledgeable and friendly instructor who has a keen understanding of the needs of income preparers in Canada.

Training Specialist, Legal & Business Markets
Leila Turner joined CCH in December of 2010. Leila has ten years of teaching experience, the majority of which was spent teaching Information and Communication Technology in the United Kingdom. In addition to her teaching experience, Leila worked in human resources for over three years in various Canadian financial organizations. Her main role is to provide both in-person and web seminars for our legal and human resources clients.

Training Specialist, Tax, Accounting & Financial Planning
Michelle Potvin joined CCH as Training Specialist, Customer Satisfaction & Training Group TAFP. She is responsible for providing both on-site and web-based seminar training to our tax and accounting clients for income tax research, CCH Scan and other CAS products. Michelle has a background in accounting, counseling and facilitation. She is a results-oriented, detailed professional with over 10 years of comprehensive Training experience in corporate environments. Michelle enjoys engaging, guiding and motivating customers to become skilled at using their CCH products.
